T-shirts will be provided to all 1st and 2nd grade players at their first game.
All 3rd grade players, as well as new players in 4th through 8th grade are required to purchase a reversible numbered jersey through the MYBA store (via our apparel partner SquadLocker) prior to the start of the season. Jersey numbers will be assigned prior to purchase, and players will keep this number for the duration of their time with MYBA. For consistency, players that also play travel basketball will be assigned the same number as their travel uniform. This helps us to avoid number conflicts with replacement jerseys and for organizing travel basketball tryouts. These jerseys are to be kept until they are outgrown, and we typically find most players will make it through their years with MYBA with one replacement jersey sometime during their middle school years. Coaches may optionally want to have the players bring them to practices. Participants should also wear their jersey to travel team tryouts.
All in-town players wear a numbered reversible jersey/pinny to their games. Players that have been in the in-town program that own the old version of the numbered reversible pinny with the MYBA logo may continue wearing it for in-town games. If you opt to wear the old version, do not worry about the number matching the number assigned in the Google Sheet (below). The assigned number is only relevant for new pinny purchases. We are winding down the old version for existing players vs. requiring the purchase of a new one. Otherwise, if a player is new to the program, does not own an MYBA pinny, or would prefer a new size, they will need to purchase one via SquadLocker. The new version just looks more like the travel uniform top, but both are Carolina / Columbia blue, so either old or new will suffice for in-town games.
On the home page of the store:
Scroll down to the section on the home page labeled IN TOWN PINNIES. Once you select the youth or adult option, you will see a required customization field for your player - jersey number. You must enter the jersey number assigned to your player referenced in the following Google Sheet link. Players are sorted by grade, and then by last name. PLEASE do not enter a number at random in your order as duplicates will obviously cause problems:

All 4th grade travel players are required to purchase a new travel uniform. Returning travel players in grades 5-8 only need to purchase a new uniform if they need a new size. If returning players only need a larger jersey or larger shorts, they are offered separately in the store.
Ordering Instructions
On the home page of the store:
The travel uniforms appear first. IMPORTANT: SquadLocker has asked that we purchase the travel uniforms in a separate cart, and to create a new order for any other items you are purchasing. This will help them to expedite these orders as the travel uniforms are more time sensitive and have more lead time with the customizations. Regardless of the number of orders you place, you will still receive the free shipping offer through November 1st.
Please note that the jersey and shorts are two separate items with separate sizing. Sizing charts and measurements will display once you click into a particular uniform option. We are aware of a couple of size options that are on backorder with the shorts, but otherwise they have healthy inventory. We have found that Youth XL and Adult Small sizes are essentially the same if by chance you encounter one or the other not being available. SquadLocker will be offering an additional free shipping window at a later date to purchase any items where a size is not currently available.

We are winding down the old version for existing players vs. requiring the purchase of a new one. Otherwise, if a player is new to the program or does not have an MYBA pinny that fits, they will need to purchase a new pinny via SquadLocker. The new version looks more like the travel uniform top, but both are "carolina / columbia" blue, so either old or new will suffice for in-town games. Shooting Shirts: For folks that are new to the travel program, these are warm-up shirts that are typically worn before travel games. Most travel players have purchased them in past seasons, but are not required. There are Hot Pink shirts for the girls and Blue shirts for the Boys. Similar to the above process, scroll down to the section on the home page of the store labeled SHOOTING SHIRTS, select the youth, mens or womens option, you will see TWO REQUIRED customization fields for your player - last name and jersey number. You must enter the jersey number assigned to your player referenced in the Google Sheet.
Once purchased, delivery time on the new shooting shirts is approximately 1-2 weeks.
Finally, you will see in the store that there are lots of MYBA gear options such as sweatshirts, hoodies, sweatpants, hats, polos etc. that make great holiday gifts for players, coaches, etc. Some of these items are customizable as well with the player name and/or number. While the store is available 24x7x365, the free shipping offered until November 1st is for any purchase in the store (not just the uniform items).
